Working with Postgraduate Researchers in Space Policy and Law
ISPL is committed to the education of space lawyers and policy-makers, and to adding to the body of knowledge in space policy and law through research and collaboration. We are also strongly committed to cross-disciplinary research.
We encourage those beginning their careers or already established to carry out research, and if possible, to pursue an academic degree such as an MPhil or PhD.
The ISPL Director and Faculty provide expert supervision for masters and doctoral degree candidates where our interests coincide, and the work is of academic merit. Our role is to work with degree-granting universities who enroll research students with an interest in space policy and law as part of their work. These students may be from a variety of backgrounds, including engineering, environmental science, law, security, commerce and governance.
We also accept a limited number of Visiting Scholars and Visiting Researchers. Those already pursuing a PhD may qualify to work with us for a period, based either at ISPL or with another institution, as a Visiting Researcher.
If you have an interest in carrying out research, please send us a summary of your intended research proposal. If we think it has merit, and may be of academic benefit, we will review, comment and provide suggestions to help you make it as strong as possible.
Please contact ISPL at applications@space-institute.org if you have any questions.
